Do you suffer from Coeliac disease ?

Inline Image

GREAT NEWS for people suffering with coeliac disease. If you are gluten intolerant, you are probably missing those special treats you used to enjoy, like boerewors sizzling on the braai, chewing biltong and droëwors while you watch rugby…..  Like many others, you might not realize that most spice mixes contain wheat.   Small quantities can add up, to cause you big discomfort.  We now make tasty wors  and biltong which contain no wheat or allergens.  so that you can munch away happily without unpleasant side effects.
Please contact Rose by emailing sales@biltongdirect.co.uk to discuss your requirements.

Our People

Derick & Rose Peacock, newly arrived in UK, started Biltong Direct in a very small way but soon realised this baby was a fast grower. Five years later and Biltong Direct is not just on the map but is growing, despite the recession. We have maintained our personal principle that quality is what discerning people want and we have fought the desire to drop quality in order to reduce prices. Customers have proved this to be a wise choice by returning to us over and over again.

Derick was born in Northern Rhodesia (Zambia to the younger generation) and lived in Southern Rhodesia or Zimbabwe before moving south in 1963. Luckily he moved in next door but one to Rose, who was born and bred in Durban. Married for 40+years, we have settled in Benfleet and run the business on Canvey Island. We have one married daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters in Pretoria, as well as a married daughter and son and their families in Woodford, Essex. We have travelled far and wide in SA over many years and are now busy exploring Europe in our 'spare' time.

We believe in the importance not only of efficient, personal service but also in the inestimable value of the friendships we have made through business. Not only shop customers, who we recognise by sight; but also internet and phone order customers, who we recognise by voice when they call in - either to order or just for a chat - have become friends. Always open to suggestions for improvements to products or service, we really appreciate both the positive and negative comments made by customers. If we never hear about the things we need to correct, they will never be rectified. Please let us know what you think of Biltong Direct - we are here to serve YOU.

Did you ever wonder ....

Why the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
Why women can't put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Why don't you ever see the headline "Psychic Wins Lottery"?
Why is "abbreviated" such a long word?
Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?
Why is it that to stop Windows, you have to click on "Start"?
Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing
liquid made with real lemons?
Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why isn't there mouse-flavored cat food?
When dog food is new and improved tasting, who tests it?
Why didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
